This was a really interesting museum and art gallery combination. They had some really interesting collections from local artists. I hope they keep bringing in unique creations. If you’re on the island and want to experience what the area has for the arts, this is a great place to visit.
An outstanding form with enormous paneled windows somehow does not intrude the surroundings and instead blends nicely. Besides, the galleries are illuminated with natural light, which helps in creating a natural, cozy atmosphere, passing from hall to hall, without the need to accomodate to changing lighting conditions.
The staff is very helpful and might know the artists in person, which only adds to the individuality and rarity of a visitor's experience.
Bear in mind the exhibitions are temporary, which is why I focus solely on this unique gallery.
If you go to Öland, and drive north, don't forget to visit this konsthall! Not to big but very interesting. I can recommend it.
We drove all the way from malmö to see Robert Vargas exhibition!!! It was worth the drive.....we r now driving back feeling refreshed, inspired, and mesmerized 😍 must see...a great view, building, n staff, too. Thanks! …
